The Oak Creek Ranch web site was created to offer hunting leases for hunters interested in Kansas White-tailed deer and Rio Grande wild turkey.
We are interested in hearing from groups of independent experienced hunters in regard to leasing hunting rights, preferably by the acre on an annual basis. We want this group of hunters to have such enjoyable and productive hunts that the lease will be renewed year after year.
(We are not interested in granting hunting leases for hunters who want guided hunts, even if they hire their own guide, and will not lease rights to hunting guide services who want to bring guided hunters to the Oak Creek Ranch.)
Hikers, bird watchers, photographers and other visitors to the ranch are welcomed, with prior permission from Ronnie Hoagland, during times and at places when and where hunters will not be present. Access fees vary according to your chosen activity and the length of your stay.
Sorry, but fishing and boating at the lake is not an option offered to visitors, except for those who have a hunting lease for the Oak Creek Ranch and a current Kansas fishing license, and then only as a courtesy and on a limited basis.
You can discuss this and other details of your hunting lease with Ronnie Hoagland.
Please call or email for information about price and availability of hunting leases and other visits to Oak Creek Ranch.
For more information about hunting regulations and seasons for Kansas deer hunting and Kansas turkey hunting, see this page on the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks web site.
All Kansas hunting and fishing laws and regulations must be observed at the Oak Creek Ranch.
If you live in a city, you'll probably stand lost in marveling at all the stars visible in the night time sky from the Oak Creek Ranch, far from the glare and glow of city lights.
You may wonder at the quiet of the night, free from honking taxi cabs and the relentless buzz of traffic and railroad train horns, as you tune into the soft whispering of wind in the prairie grass and the distant croaks of bull frogs, the calls of wild turkeys, the snorts and whistles of whitetail deer and the lonesome cries of coyotes echoing across the Kansas hills. Some people think of it as the natural music of the American prairie.
